| You can call us specialists in specialization, say Frans and Frank Delmote, the management of Frank Delmote Ltd, a firm based in Wortegem-Petegem (East Flanders), on the outskirts of Waregem | |
| The
public limited company grew out of the one-man company Frans Delmote,
who in 1989 was obliged by the strict EEC standards to put up a brand-new
building, right next to the sister company NV Franky. Since then,
the business has become an internationally recognized and esteemed
meat processing company, which in 2001-2002 realized a turnover of
13.6 million euros. The firm has a workforce of around forty people
who work in four shifts, five days a week. |
|
| Eighty
percent of the production is exported, chiefly to France, the Netherlands,
Germany, Luxembourg and Denmark. Distribution firms, chain stores
and restaurants make up the firm’s foreign customer base. |

| NV Frank Delmote
has two production lines: the raw saltery and the cooked products.
In recent decades, the market showed a major shift towards pre-cut
and sliced products. |
|
| The result was convenience at all levels. The Delmote team readily responded to this trend, became market leader in Belgium and acquired a very good reputation throughout Europe. |
|
| In the fight for international quality
recognition, NV Frank Delmote was a trendsetter. This is evidenced by
the implementation of the HACCPs (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points),
two years before it became mandatory by law. All of this helped to perfect the structure and internal organization of the company, which above all stands for a combination of quality and taste. |
